Next week's story-time theme is What a Warthog. Lucedale Public Library will be reading "Warthogs in the Kitchen and Warthogs Paint." Come join in the fun Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.

The Art Studio came to L.C. Hatcher to paint with the kindergarten students. 

The kids had a fabulous time painting ornaments.   Alyssa Holland and Aaliyah Cummings painting their Christmas Ornament with the Art Studio.

Lucedale Public Library to hold story time

On Tuesday, Jan. 11 Lucedale Public Library will hold story time at 10 a.m.

Librarian Jacob Havard will be reading: "Oh My Mittens," "Hat for Minerva Louise," "A Mountain of Mittens."

Story time is open to the public. A craft based on "Hat for Minerva Louis" will follow the reading.

Owners of The Art Studio in Lucedale, Mississippi came and presented an art lesson to the students of L. C. Hatcher.  Susan Mergenschroer and Mallory Hoerner taught kids about different types of art and the process by which some art is produced.

Lucedale Library to hold book signing Saturday

On Saturday, August 25, 2011 the Lucedale Public Library is hosting a book signing with Mississippi author Janie Vonnelle Turnage, "Just Talking Your Fun and Mine."

The book signing will start at 10 a.m. until noon. Turnage's book will also be on sale.
