LIS Clothes Closet needs the Communities Help

Lucedale Intermediate School:

The Lucedale Intermediate School Clothes Closet is a service that is provided to any student that is in need of a uniform.  This need can be economical or from an accident such as a tear during the day.

To help ensure that we are able to provide this service we would like to ask the community if they could donate any of their children’s outgrown and gently used school uniforms.

Help abused or neglected children by volunteering with CASA

Help abused or neglected children by volunteering with CASA

Think child abuse doesn't happen in South Mississippi? Think again. Thousands of children are abused, neglected or endangered across the area. CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, is made up of volunteers who help make life better for children.

Through CASA, these children get a voice in court.  However, the organization needs more volunteers.

In Jackson County, CASA helps more than 1,600 children.

To continue the work, the group conducts volunteer drives twice a year.

Recently, a number of faithful servants helped a family in the community by building this ramp and a set of stairs.
