Vancleave suspect arrested on child molestation charges | Crime

Jackson County Sheriff's deputies have arrested Robert Wallace Reyer,41, of C. Stanley Road in Vancleave for child molesting and sexual battery  Friday.

According to authorities, the arrest came after a complaint received by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department alleging that an 11-year-old girl was molested and sexually battered by Reyer.

Officials said Reyer was arrested in Lucedale, where he reportedly fled to after a warrant was issued for his arrest on January 10, 2012.

While being booked, Reyer, allegedly had a medical issue and was transported to the
Singing River Emergency Room, authorities said. Reyer is out on a $10,000 signature bond.

If convicted Reyer could face up to 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and a $10,000 fine for the molestation charge and up to 30 years in MDOC and a $10,000 fine for the sexual battery.
