Some of the funds raised will go to the GCFFA Scholarship Program that we have set up for George County High School Seniors.

Scholarship can only be used towards college to help further their education. We are hoping this event continues to grow like its been doing. This year the vendor application and BBQ Team Application are seperate forms.

Walking track planned for George Co. Fairgrounds

The Lucedale-George Co. Rotary is working with George County to improve the George County Fairgrounds.

According to Mayor Doug Lee, the plan is to add an asphalt walking track within the fairgrounds.

Mayor Lee said the walking track would be 16 feet wide, egg shaped and could also be used for festival goers.

"Baby strollers and handicap wheel chairs could move around the fairgrounds easier with a walking track," Mayor Lee said.
