George Regional Hospital Celebrates Birth of 100th Baby

George Regional Hospital:

Six pound, six ounce Nevaeh Joselyn Olguin made her appearance at 2:24 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 marking a milestone at George Regional Hospital. Little Nevaeh is the 100th baby born since the hospital began delivering babies again in July 2011.

Delivered by Jay Pinkerton, M.D., of Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates, Nevaeh was welcomed by proud parents Jose’ and Rebecca Olguin and big brother Jose’.

Benndale Elementary partnering with Lucedale Kiwanis for Terrific Kids campaign

Benndale Elementary is partnering with the local chapter of Lucedale Kiwanis.

The campaign is "Terrific Kids" which promotes and encourages students setting goals and being rewarded as they achieve them.

The president of Kiwanis is Mrs. Kelly Reeves and is also a parent of students at Benndale.

The Principal, Rita Mizell, is a member of Kiwanis, and helped implement the program at Benndale.

Kohl’s is honoring more than 2,200 youth, ages six to 18, who have made a positive impact on their communities with more than $420,000 in scholarships and prizes; top winners receive $10,000 each.

The Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE: KSS) Kohl’s Cares® Scholarship Program will award more than $420,000 in scholarships and prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships, to more than 2,200 young volunteers who have made a positive impact on their communities. Nominations for kids ages six to 18 will be accepted February 1 – March 15 at kohlskids.com.
