What makes a good bakery good?

What makes a good bakery good?

Is it a unique ingredient? A celebrity endorsement? Fondant that looks like anything but fondant? Or prehaps the answer is as simple as making the dessert from scratch.

The first thing I noticed when I took my first bite into an Ana Layne's Bakery petifore was the moistness of the mini cake. Being a self proclaimed baker and reformed sugar addict, it was hard to pass up the dessert box filled with the decorated treats.

The owners of Ana Laynes bakery visited the WLOX studio on Monday and gave out a generous amount of Ana Laynes samplings.
